Share with your lender or JV partner

A read-only copy for a lender or partner, opened with an emailed code.

Plans: Pro and Team5 minutesUpdated Feaso Cloud team

On Free, Share to external party shows a padlock. Joint-venture partners are also on Pro and Team.

Lenders, valuers and joint-venture partners need to see your numbers without having access to your workspace. Feaso Cloud sends them a read-only copy of a saved scenario by email link. They open it in the browser with a code sent to the same address, with no account or password, and can download it as a PDF or Excel file.

Before you start

A share is a copy of a scenario’s latest saved version, taken when you send it. Save Current to the scenario first if it holds changes you want them to see. Later edits don’t reach the copy; to send updated figures, save a new version and share again.

  1. Step 1: Set up the joint venture (if there is one)

Skip this step for a lender-only share.

Open the Setup tab and find the Joint venture card. Click Add partner, then enter the partner’s Name, Share % and Entry month, and choose an Arrangement: Buy-in, then % split, % split or % split and catch-up. For a buy-in, Feaso Cloud calculates the Buy-in amount, which you can override. Under Exit, choose With you, or the refinance at which they leave, with an Agreed return %.

Partners share the equity contributions and distributions only. Costs, revenue, loans and the project returns don’t change. Save the scenario when the terms are right.

  2. Step 2: Open Share and choose the external option

Click Share in the header. Under Format, choose Share to external party, described as “A read-only copy, sent by email link”.

  3. Step 3: Say who it’s for and what to share

Enter the recipient’s Name and Email. Choose the Scenario: each option shows its latest version, such as “Baseline v4 (primary)”. If Current has unsaved changes, the hint reminds you to save first.

Under Tabs they see, untick anything they don’t need. Every tab except Reports can be shared; Supporting Documents are never included. The recipient can download the shared tabs as a PDF or an Excel file (values only).

  4. Step 4: Choose whose returns they see

When the scenario has joint-venture partners, Returns as sets the perspective of the copy: Whole project, You (your organisation) or a partner by name.

    • Whole project or You shows every partner’s name, terms and results. Use this for a lender.
    • A partner’s perspective shows that partner its own terms and results, and yours. Every other partner is combined into one “Other partners” line, and their names and terms aren’t in the copy at all.

The recipient sees the Summary in that perspective and can’t change it.

  5. Step 5: Set the expiry and send

Link expires defaults to 30 days from today and can be set up to a year ahead; the link works until the end of that day. Add a Message (optional), such as “For the credit paper”, and click Send link. A message confirms “Link sent to” their address.

  6. Step 6: What the recipient sees

The recipient gets an email from you, through Feaso Cloud, with an Open the feasibility button. The page greets them by name and offers Email me a code. They enter the 6-digit code, which works for 10 minutes, and click Open.

The copy opens read only, with a Read only badge, “Shared by” your name and the expiry date. Download gives them the PDF or the Excel file.

  7. Step 7: Track and revoke shares

Back in Share › Share to external party, Shared externally lists each share with its scenario version, the expiry, and when it was last opened, or “not opened yet”. Each is Active, Expired or Revoked. Click Revoke to stop a link working at once. You can revoke your own shares; admins and owners can revoke anyone’s. History records each share and revoke.

Tips

  • Send each partner its own share in its own perspective, rather than one whole-project copy forwarded around.
  • A shared copy keeps the BBSW rate of the version you shared, so the lender sees the figures you sent, not later movements.
  • For a formal credit submission, pair the share with a PDF from the Reports tab, which can take the same perspective.
  • Set the expiry to match the decision window, such as a credit committee date.

Try it on your own project.
