Export a lender-ready report
The Feasibility summary and Lender pack, and tabs to Excel.
A lender or investment committee wants the feasibility in a fixed, readable form. The Reports tab builds a PDF from the sections you choose, headed with your organisation’s name, logo and ABN, and the Share button exports tabs to Excel as values only, so the figures can be checked without handing over a model.
Before you start
- Your organisation’s trading name, logo and ABN head every file. Check them in Settings › Organisation.
- If the scenario has joint-venture partners, decide whose returns the lender should see.
Step 1: Get the scenario ready
An export shows exactly what is on screen. If Current has changes, they are saved first, and the file is labelled with the scenario it is based on, for example “Current · based on Baseline v3”.
To give your lender a named, fixed version, open the scenario menu in the header and click + Save current as new scenario, or Save as v4 on an existing scenario, before you export.
Step 2: Open the Reports tab and pick a report
Click Reports. Under Saved Reports, choose one. Feasibility summary (Overview for sign-off) has the Cover Page, Summary, Costs, Sales and Leasing summaries, and Finance. Lender pack (Programme, detail, funding and cashflow) adds the Programme, the detailed Costs, Sales and Leasing, and the Cashflow. Reports your organisation has saved are listed below them.
The preview beside the list shows the report’s actual pages, breaking where the PDF will.
Step 3: Choose the sections
Under Include, tick the sections you want: Cover Page, Summary, Programme, Costs, Sales and Leasing (each Summary or Detailed; ticking one unticks the other), Finance and Cashflow. Supporting Docs (Zip) downloads the project’s Supporting Documents beside the PDF.
When your ticks match a saved report, it is highlighted; otherwise the PDF is titled Report. To keep a combination, click Save, enter a Report name and save it for everyone in your organisation.
Step 4: Set the cover image and the cash flow layout
Under Cover image, click Upload image to put a PNG or JPEG of the project on the cover, or Use default to go back.
Cash flows follow the Cashflow tab’s view and units: set Monthly, Quarterly, FY Quarters or Annual, and $’000 or $m, there before exporting. The sensitivity grid uses the metric and axes chosen on the Summary tab. With joint-venture partners, Returns as sets whose returns the file shows.
Step 5: Export the PDF
Click Export PDF (Download zip when only the zip is ticked). A message shows “Preparing Lender pack.pdf…” while the file is built, and the download starts when it is ready. Most files take a few seconds.
If it takes longer, a message says the file is still being prepared: download it from Recent exports.
Step 6: Export tabs to Excel
Click Share in the header. Under Tabs, tick the tabs to export (every tab but Reports is ticked to start; Select all and Clear all help). Under Format, choose Excel (.xlsx): one sheet per tab, values only. Click Export.
The workbook is named after the project and holds numbers, never formulas.
Step 7: Find your files in Recent exports
Recent exports on the Reports tab lists each file with its scenario label and how long ago it was made. Download fetches it again through a short-lived link. A file still being built shows Preparing…, and one that failed says why.
Tips
- Lenders often want detail: the Lender pack has the detailed sections and the cash flow.
- Supporting Documents are never inside a PDF or workbook. Tick Supporting Docs (Zip) to download those that have passed their security check.
- To give a lender a read-only copy they can open in the browser, use Share to external party in the Share pop-over (Pro and Team).
